in Toruń

What if you could not see the person who stands in front of you? What if you could not see how the weather looks like today? Can you imagine how it is? You can feel it – fortunately for one moment only – at the Invisible House in Toruń.

Wait a minute. Wasn’t this article supposed to be about Torun? Well, the answer is “yes and no” in the same time. Why? Because this article is for those who like to try something new everyday, who enjoy to travel as much as possible and never settle in one place for too long. Of course, you will have classes which you must attend, but once the weekend comes you pack your bags and go to a new place (at least for 2 or 3 days). But first of all: why Torun?

“Kraków is one of my favorite places on earth.
It is a medieval city full of young people.
A wonderful, striking combination.”
(Jonathan Carroll)

I’m not that kind of man who loves sports but I wanted to try something different for this summer so I enrolled to the course „On the river, on the lakes – the secrets of water tourism”. Besides getting knowledge about water tourism, you have the opportunity to go on a canoe trip!

Hi, dear reader. You know the world is full of many beautiful places to visit. However, there is a small city in Poland about which few people know. This city – Torun. And I will give 5 reason to visit this city. So let's start.

Here you can find our experience with the Organization Erasmus Gathering. Short spoiler: Don't book an Erasmus Gathering EVER. During the article you will find the reasons (there are too much of them to put them all in the summary).

Many of my friends ask my what was the reason for me to go on Erasmus? And when I'm answering some of them are amazed some don't understand. But I want also to tell you what this Erasmus became to me.

We as human beings some part of our life, we need some changes, not just because we are bored in the same things but because improving ourselfs and expanding our outlook.

Before I came here during the 2015 summer, I always wanted to go somewhere that I have never been and meet people that I have not know them before. Then I found myself in Torun if you ask me How I decided to come here , I swear I can not define how it had happened.

„Lalalalala“, singing the lyrics of one song which had stucked in my head, I was packing my stuff and getting ready for my first journey. Warsaw-Lodz-Wroclaw, the tour planned to see during the Easter holidays.

Olympic spirit and the shades of war tragedies interweave today’s destiny of Sarajevo. Through the smoke of popular nargila we get familiar with this city, the city of three contraries which once were its trading mark. Sarajevo´s citizens say that city was made from people and the buildings in the past, and now there are only buildings left.

Stereotypical foreigner is trying to criticize who’s not like he is used to. Are Polish people as dark and bad as their outfits? Find the answer below.

I am sure that you have seen this title at least 100 times in your life. But this is different. “Why?” – You would ask. Because I am not trying to give you any advice, motivate or direct you. I am just telling you my story. A story of someone just like you.

You all will see many articles about what means Erasmus to people, what Erasmus gave to them. You also know that whoever look from the same window, they will see another point of view because the way how we look is unique and ours. Let’s talk about what is the meaning of Erasmus for me, in the topic of “real friendship”.

Are you a history passionate person? Do you like to discover places with amazing stories and architecture?

Then you should definitely visit Chojnice and Poznan. Let´s see what is interesting about those cities.

“Cities have always offered anonymity, variety, and conjunction, qualities best basked in by walking: one does not have to go into the bakery or the fortune-teller, only to know that one might. A city always contains more than any inhabitant can know, and a great city always makes the unknown and the possible spurs to the imagination.” (Rebecca Solnit, Wanderlust: A History of Walking)

This quotation is a good way to start my story about the city of Stockholm which I had only visited once and I hope for many more times. This amazing city offers a great variety of everything you can ask for and each day you spend there you can discover new beauties.

This is a story about a small mistake and a small adventure - or how we ended up in Zgierz (yes, it is in Poland and it is a real name).

It was Friday. Cloudy weather, not a ray of sunshine. Standing with my family on the bus station with the most biggest suitcase I ever had, sitting there in silente, we waited for my bus to come so my journey can start. A whole new chapter that was just waiting to get wrtitten.

Visiting by day, traveling by night...great trip, but great tiredness. I was in Wien and Berlin and I stayed three days in Wien and three days in Berlin and every single moment mattered.

When I came to Torun for my Erasmus exchange, one of the main things was to travel as much as possible and see new places, cultures and traditions. Honestly, I was a bit more attracted to the Western part of Europe because it's a lot cheaper to travel there from Poland than from my country. Malta, Greece, the Netherlands...a lot of plans. But the worst thing you can do in life is to plan too much. Sometimes you just need to let things unfold in the way they are supposed to...

Let me tell you something about me: I’m kinda shy so I’m not really comfortable with talking to strangers. And yet now I’m on the bus to Warsaw regretting there’s no one sitting next to me so I can talk to a total stranger. How’d that happen?

I’m thinking a lot these days about my trip around some neighbourhood countries from Poland and, maybe, I could help you with the organizational stuff.

A well known proverb tells us: “Never miss an opportunity” and that’s why I participated in Food {hacks} 2016 Hackathon in Berlin at the first days of April. I wasn’t alone there, my friends were with me. To understand who my friends are and what Hackathon is, I would like to suggest reading some words below, my dear reader.

Some people like sport, some – not. But when we speak about Olympic games everyone watch them holding their breath. So lets have a look on ESN Olympics from perspective of participants.

I worked in a hostel before coming to Torun, so I’m used to having travelers around and hearing a lot of amazing stories. A lot of them involving hitchhiking. So giving hitchhiking a try has been on my mind for a while now and I knew Poland was the perfect place to do it. And I did! :-)

Socialist & Democrats group, second strongest political group of the European Parliament, organized Youth for Gender Equality Forum at the beginning of March. During three days in Bruxelles 25 participants from different European and African countries discussed about various problems regarding equality that women are facing in societies all over the world.

For sure, you are asking „Is this a joke?“ but even though it's the first of April, it's not a joke.
