Physicist with PAS award

Dr Mateusz Borkowski from the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Informatics received the Stefan Pieńkowski Scientific Award of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS). The award is granted annually by the Polish Academy of Sciences for significant scientific achievements in Physics.

Chinese cooperation

On the 8 of November Nicolaus Copernicus University had the pleasure to host guests from Beijing Open University. NCU and BJOU have signed an agreement of cooperation.

Polish Nobel Prize for Prof. Kossakowski

Prof. Dr. Andrzej Kossakowski from the NCU Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Informatics was awarded the Prize of the Foundation for Polish Science, considered the most important scientific distinction in the country.

European Universities Initiative officially launched

The Young Universities for the Future of Europe (YUFE) alliance was present in Brussels during the kick-off event of the European Universities Initiative. Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń is one of the YUFE associated partners. 

Physicists with a grant

The NCU Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Informatics in cooperation with Ludwig-Maximilian University Munich received a grant from the National Science Centre in the framework of the Beethoven Classic 3 competition.
